We’ve been reading a lot of children’s books. They tend to use simple, plain language. Language that has depth. 

You can understand the stories at age 2 or 3, but they have an impact beyond that. As we grow, so does our understanding of story.

Religion has a way of doing this too. What was understood as fact as a 7 year old now speaks to the psyche about adventure and mystery and moving beyond what is known.
