Standing there, holding tight.
Looking left and looking right. 

Sure to catch you if you fall,
You make yourself stand so tall.

Legs somewhat straight,
quite wiggly out the gate.

Growing up before my eyes,
I take in this moment and hold back cries.

You’re strong with a tender heart.
You inspire much of my art. 

What’s beyond words I paint,
With this palette as constraint.

No words will do
When it comes to how much I love you.
