POEM

I know she’s noticed them before,
She’d crawl with them on the floor. 

But, play? 
Not before today. 

Something happened,
And just like that
She’s standing at the couch
Laughing, pointing, giving a pat
On the head. 

Fingers in the nose,
As if she knows

They’re playing too.
This is very new.

I can’t wait to see
Them play in a year or three.

I know she’s noticed them before,
But today they’re interacting more.
